Looking forward to walking alongside our Brisbane tribe this June!

Hello and thank you for registering for the Unite For Hope Awareness Walk 2023. We couldn’t be happier that you have taken the first step towards funding and research into upper GI cancers.

As this is only the second walk held in Brisbane, we would love to give you a bit of an insight into the day and what to expect.

All participants are provided with an “in Memory” sticker, this is where you can put the person’s name you are walking for and wear it on your event t-shirt. Some people also choose to dress up in colours or a theme that is symbolic of their loved one.

The Pancare events team will be at New Farm to greet you and will alert you as to when the walk begins. There isn’t a set time to finish the walk, but it usually takes about an hour and what a wonderful time to be spending it in the beautiful New Farm surrounds.

There will be marquees in full swing, including our Pansupport wellness tent, Merchandise such as t-shirts, ribbons and SHOPE products, and of course we will have a plenty of food and beverages on offer too.

At the heart of the Pancare Foundation and our cause, is a passionate community of people united by personal experience, who are determined and committed to bringing greater awareness, attention and change for upper GI cancers and that now includes you and your tribe.

With every step you take and dollar you raise, your fundraising will help Pancare provide more than just hope to those we support via our patient support services, which include support groups, awareness and education resources, financial assistance programs and more. Funds raised also help us take a step closer to finding breakthroughs in research aimed at early detection and new treatments to increase survival and improve outcomes for Australian’s impacted by these devastating cancers.
